In 2018 crypto prices plummeted, traditional ICOs waned, and security tokens have started to capture the full attention of everyone in the industry, while traditional utility token projects struggle to gain traction with real-world adoption. Crypto investors have matured and are becoming much more sophisticated and clear-sighted. This year’s NEXT BLOCK Conference we shine a spotlight on all of these changes and look forward with clarity to how things are shaping up for crypto in 2019.

According to the Israeli Blockchain Association, there are more than 200 blockchain startups based in Israel. Gadi Isaev, a managing partner of the Israeli Blockchain Association, told Forbes Magazine in October that, “This growth is happening thanks to effective regulation and close cooperation of many blockchain startups with educational and academic research organisations.” Most of the newest blockchain startups are focused on equity financing as more institutional players enter the market. Roman Gold, a founding partner of the Israeli Blockchain Association, called this trend a “self-purification of the ICO phenomenon.”

Jan is among 20 distinguished speakers who will talk about the significant shift in the crypto market in 2018. Cryptocurrency prices crashed and traditional ICOs fell out of vogue. Token investors are becoming much more astute at weeding out “shitcoin” offerings and are enjoying increased clarity in all things crypto. STOs (Security Tokens Offerings) have begun to go mainstream as a marvellous real-world use case for blockchain technology.

Jan’s discussion panel is, “Power in Numbers – The Rise of Investment Pools and Funds in 2018 and How They Will Shape The Market in 2019”. The moderator is Motti Peer, Co-CEO of global PR firm Blonde 2.0, a company with 35 professionals engaged in making their agency a leading force in PR for blockchain and crypto, startups, and VCs.

Jan’s co-panelist on “Power in Numbers” is Alex Nascimento from UCLA where he lectures on Blockchain Business Applications and co-founded the UCLA Blockchain Lab.

The conference, sponsored by Krypton Events and the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange, will take place on December 12 2018. NEXT BLOCK is known to put on an exceptional event. Whether you’re an investor, blockchain developer, startup, or fund – attend this event and you will be engaged, educated, and enjoy endless networking opportunities.
